Description:This presentation will have a specific focus on reviewing the critical area of suicide prevention by implementing the Question, Persuade, and Referral process. QPR is an emergency mental health intervention for suicidal persons. This course will also provide education on how to identify, assess, and interrupt the crisis and direct that person to the proper care. This presentation would specifically benefit those healthcare providers who work with children in all areas of health care as well as legal guardians and parents. This presentation is particularly important now as there is a striking rise in suicide rates among children and there is an immediate need for education on how to best end this disturbing trend.
Outcome:65% of the participants of this webinar will implement at least 1 new strategy to assess and identify signs and symptoms of suicidal ideation based upon the knowledge gain.
